Trimec is an Italian company specializing in the design and production of innovative solutions for the industrial filtration sector. With over 15 years of experience, the company has distinguished itself through its pioneering approach in developing advanced systems that guarantee energy efficiency and high performance. We met with Trimec’s founder, Massimiliano Zanoni, who told us about the company’s evolution, the challenges of the sector, and the advantages of the latest patented innovations, including the Domino 70.
Trimec’s Initial Vision and Its Evolution
Trimec was born with a clear idea: to propose an innovative alternative in a highly competitive market, where competitors’ products were often similar to each other. “From the beginning, we set ourselves the goal of developing solutions that offered superior performance compared to market standards, focusing particularly on energy savings. This aspect, although initially little considered, is now one of our customers’ priorities, and it has allowed us to grow and stand out from the competition”, says Zanoni.
Another distinctive element of the company is its entirely Italian production, with most suppliers located in Milan. “This approach has allowed us to gain the market’s trust, as anyone who has seen our system in operation has immediately recognized its advantages”, continues the founder. Furthermore, this approach allows Trimec to maintain rigorous control over the quality of materials and production times, ensuring reliability and speed in deliveries.
Innovation and Research: The Internal Laboratory
To concretely demonstrate the performance of its products, Trimec has invested in the creation of an internal laboratory. “We have always wanted to offer customers the opportunity to see the effectiveness of our solutions with their own eyes. Many are skeptical at first, but after witnessing the tests in the laboratory, they understand the real value of our patents. This approach has allowed us to establish a relationship of trust with our customers”, explains the founder.
Domino 70: Efficiency and Versatility

One of Trimec’s flagship products is the Domino 70, an internationally patented tank designed for dust removal systems with cartridge filters. “The Domino 70 is an extremely versatile solution, adaptable to different types of cartridges and industrial systems. Our system stands out for its simplicity of installation and modularity, while competitors offer more complex and less flexible systems. Furthermore, thanks to product standardization, we can guarantee very fast delivery times, in just two or three days, compared to the four weeks required by other manufacturers”.
The operation of the Domino 70 is based on a jet of compressed air that shakes the filter fabric of the cartridges, removing dust particles and maintaining the efficiency of the suction system. This makes it ideal for numerous sectors, including laser cutting, painting, woodworking, and marble processing.
The 1” Piston Valve: A Revolution in Bag Filters

Alongside the Domino 70, another important innovation from Trimec is the 1″ piston valve, developed as an alternative to traditional diaphragm systems. “We designed this valve with the aim of reducing air consumption and increasing performance. Thanks to piston technology, we have achieved results comparable to those of a 1″1/2 diaphragm valve, but with 30-40% energy savings and a larger filtering surface”.
Made of aluminum to ensure lightness and strength, the piston valve is ideal for large systems, such as those used in cement factories, steel mills, and power plants. Its air jet cleaning system keeps suction efficiency constant, preventing the release of dust and fumes into the environment.
An Increasingly International Market
Despite the entirely Italian production, Trimec’s target market is global. “We collaborate with Italian engineering firms that build plants for foreign clients. Our products are used all over the world, from the United States to Canada, from South America to India, passing through Africa, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates. We recently participated in a trade fair in Germany precisely to expand our international presence”.
Trimec continues to invest in innovation and research to offer increasingly efficient and sustainable solutions. Thanks to its strategic vision and ability to anticipate market needs, the company confirms its position as a benchmark in the industrial filtration sector. The Domino 70 and the 1″ piston valve represent two concrete examples of how innovation can improve performance, reduce costs, and ensure a lower environmental impact.
